Carol Bauss, J.D.



Ms. Bauss received her Juris Doctor in 1992 and has a B.A. in Communication Arts. She is sought after for her expertise on juror attitudes, jury decision-making and courtroom communication. Ms. Bauss advises attorneys on all phases of case strategy, trial presentation and jury selection drawing on her years of experience conducting focus groups, mock trials and post-verdict juror interviews. She works with witnesses to improve their communication skills and tell their story more effectively to the jury. Ms. Bauss is especially adept at designing and analyzing focus groups and mock trials regarding complex business and intellectual property disputes. She also has extensive experience with personal injury, product liability and employment cases.

She is a frequent presenter and trainer for various national, state and local bar and trial lawyer associations and author on topics such as preparing expert witnesses, the influence of Generation X and Y jurors, and the 15-minute voir dire.

Ms. Bauss is a member of the American Society of Trial Consultants and has been active in the Professional Standards Committee and is a former chair of the Membership Committee.
