Susan Macpherson Senior Litigation Consultant; Vice-President, NJP Litigation Consulting/Midwest
Since 1976, Ms. Macpherson has conducted thousands of focus groups, trial simulations and post-trial interviews for state and federal cases across the nation. She specializes in helping attorneys maximize the value of their pre-trial research by developing messages that will stick with the fact-finders as well as powerful presentation strategies.
Many of her clients represent major U.S. and foreign corporations in:
- Intellectual property cases
- Anti-trust cases
- Commercial disputes and construction litigation
Counsel for the plaintiffs regularly retain her in medical negligence cases, class action suits and multi-district litigation. Her other areas of specialization are libel and defamation, eminent domain, and white collar criminal defense.
Ms. Macpherson is co-author of Jurywork®: Systematic Techniques, and a frequent contributor to other professional publications. She serves as faculty for Continuing Legal Education seminars as well as law firm training programs. She has been an active participant in the joint efforts of the American Bar Association and the National Center for State Courts to enhance juror comprehension by improving jury trial procedures.
